Talk 16: Photo Blogging
Orla Fitzpatrick facilitates a discussion around Photo Blogging.
The panel will explore the current state of photo blogging with particular reference to the Irish scene. Panellists will discuss why they blog and refer to other sites they follow. Confirmed panelists will include David Monahan from The Lilliputian and Sarah Shiel from the National Library (exhibitions, web content and social media) - though we expect a few more bloggers.
Orla Fitzpatrick is a librarian and photo-historian from Dublin. She has worked at the National Photographic Archive and is currently the Librarian at the National Museum of Ireland. She recently completed her MA thesis on an Irish collage and mixed media album dating from the mid-19th century. Her blog jacolette.com deals with Irish vernacular and ‘found’ photography.
